Applied AI, for me, is not slide decks or pilot programmes that never reach production. At Shell I integrated AI and RAG into live customer systems under compliance and operational ownership. Through Localhost Ltd I ship agentic AI into products with real users: Meme Instants at 1.3M MAU, See It Here First, and the solo-founder operating system I write about on this site.

The gap most organisations feel is speed of tools versus weight of process. Generative prototypes arrive in seconds; governance and integration still move at enterprise pace. That tension is where delivery experience matters: knowing what to prototype freely, what to harden before it touches customers, and how to keep humans in the loop without killing throughput.
